Break Out

Publication design created as part of my Master’s Degree project. Break Out is an educational publication raising awareness and encouraging people affected by domestic violence, addiction, depression, and social isolation in rural areas to seek help and support. My work focused on sourcing public domain imagery reflecting intergenerational trauma and creating collages that visually interpret the articles within the book. I also produced a series of linocuts whose raw aesthetic emphasizes the weight of the subject matter, revealing hidden layers of the stories when combined with photography. The publication concludes with contact information for helplines and support organizations, providing practical resources for those the project aims to reach.
