Break Out

Publication design as part of my Masters Degree project. Break Out is an educational project designed to raise awareness and encourage people affected by domestic violence, alcoholism, addiction, depression, or life challenges in rural areas to seek help and support. My work involved sourcing public domain images that reflect intergenerational trauma and creating collages that visually interpret the themes of the articles in the book. I also produced several linocuts, whose rawness emphasizes the difficult subject matter, and when layered over the photographs, reveal hidden layers of the stories. At the end of the publication, contact information for trusted helplines and relevant foundations is provided, offering support to the people the publication was created to reach.
